At Little Pachas, the preschool at Santa Francisca Romana School, we cover from Nursery (K3) to Second Grade, with girls between the ages of 3 and 7. At this stage, we support their cognitive, emotional, social and physical development through a pedagogical approach inspired by international early childhood methodologies, which encourages active learning, exploration and creativity. Girls develop motor, linguistic and social skills, strengthening their autonomy, problem-solving and empathy through practical activities and collaboration. Our approach prioritises positive interactions and an environment that promotes independence and confidence. The transition to primary school is carefully supported, facilitating their adaptation to new educational stages.
Discovering language skills through experiential experiences and connections with the environment.
Students participate, explore and build knowledge through hands-on, collaborative experiences.
Enhancing cognitive, emotional and social skills through meaningful and playful experiences.
At this stage, a single teacher accompanies the girls in key areas such as English, mathematics, and science. This model generates stability and continuity in the learning process because the teacher knows each student thoroughly, including their strengths and challenges, and is able to weave connections between different disciplines.
Furthermore, having a single point of contact strengthens communication with families and ensures closer support. In this way, every girl feels secure, understood, and motivated to move forward with confidence.
Girls take an active role in their educational process through Student-Led Conferences: spaces where they reflect on their learning, select evidence and present it to their families with the support of their teacher.
This exercise enhances their autonomy, develops their communication skills, and strengthens their motivation to learn. At the same time, it builds a deeper bond between school, family and student, celebrating achievements and setting new goals.
During the day, the girls receive breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Proper nutrition not only ensures physical well-being, it also boosts concentration, energy and learning in every activity of the day.
Ballet is part of the educational programme at Pachas. Through this artistic discipline, girls develop coordination, balance, concentration and body expression, while strengthening perseverance and creativity.
